Hi there!

 

My name is Vanessa (Ness for short) and I have had the privilege of working at Off the Leash for the past 11 years.  From its very humble beginnings, I have found my niche as Off the Leash’s Certified groomer and couldn’t imagine doing anything else.

 

I got my first taste of the grooming industry thanks to a help wanted sign in a grooming shop in my town.  After receiving a Bachelors degree in Psychology at Rhode Island College, I decided to pursue my passion and received certification from the Connecticut School of Dog Grooming.  

 

I am Pet First Aid and CPR certified and hold a certificate for AKC Safe Handling. I also hold certificates in both Salon Safety and Sanitation procedures.  I am a registered member of both the New England Pet Grooming Professionals and a the National Dog Groomers Association of America.  I am also AKC certified for Poodle and Bichon grooming and Skin Science Certified from IVE San Bernard USA.  I am currently enrolled in their Pet Esthetician program with the future goal of specializing in treating pets with chronic skin and allergy issues. In addition, I continue furthering my education through workshops, seminars and certificate programs to ensure that I  provide the best quality grooming experience for each and every pooch I handle.
