This class is designed for puppies and dogs 6 months or older who have had little or no previous training.  Basic obedience commands will be taught along with loose leash walking, recall, sit stay, down stay and leave it.  No playtime will be included.

Course will cover the following in preparation for the Beginner Obedience Certification test.

• Loose leash walking

• Recall

• Sit, stay

• Down, stay

• Leave it 

 

Prerequisites and Requirements

​

• Class is open to dogs 6 months old and older.

• This class is appropriate for people/dog friendly dogs only. 

• Proof of current vaccinations (rabies, distemper, kennel cough) is required to participate in class.

• Dogs are required to wear a simple flat collar and standard 6 foot leash. Front fastening harnesses, such as the Easy-Walk, are permitted in class. Please, no retractable leashes, choke or pinch collars.
